Jack Hughes experienced exceptional growth this season. The Devils forward collected 43 more points than last season, finishing the year with an impressive total of 99 points. The first draft pick in 2019 notably recorded two goals and two assists in the 8-4 victory against the Carolina Hurricanes yesterday.

In a video published by TVA Sports, Jack Hughes made a promise to his good friend Cole Caufield. Indeed, the star forward promised the Canadiens player that he would be invited to his party if he ever won the Stanley Cup. The two players have been friends for a very long time and have also had the opportunity to play together in the American development program.

One thing is certain, the two friends seem to share a great relationship!

Could Cole Caufield be tempted to follow in his friend's footsteps? Jack Hughes was in the same situation as the Tricolore forward at the end of last season, being a restricted free agent. The #86 of the Devils eventually signed an 8-year contract worth a total of $64 million to stay in New Jersey.

It's worth noting that both players are represented by the same agent, Pat Brisson.

Do you think this contract could serve as a comparable during negotiations between Kent Hughes and the Caufield camp?
