Massive acquisition coming soon for the Montreal Canadiens involving Alex Killorn?

After winning the Stanley Cup twice in 2020 and 2021, and making it to the Final in 2022, the Tampa Bay Lightning were finally eliminated from the playoffs this year after a defeat in game number 6 against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

In this first round, Alex Killorn ended the series with three goals and five points, thus being the forward who scored the most goals tied with Brayden Point.

After having played his best season ever, 27 goals, 37 assists, and 64 points in 82 games, the 33-year-old player could potentially join the Canadiens roster, and here's why.

In April 2023, Alex Killorn acquired four condominium units all located in the same place, between downtown and Old Montreal. These were valued at $2,471,500.


Having grown up in Beaconsfield, west of Montreal, Killorn also has his own portfolio company named AKillorn17 Capital, which would have allowed him to procure these units.

Would he be interested in joining the Canadiens lineup? Is that why he made these recent purchases in Montreal?

His most recent contract was for a duration of 7 years and was signed with the Lightning in 2016, which means it ends this summer.
