Nick Suzuki made a major statement regarding the upcoming season

During an interview with Simon-Olivier Lorange from La Presse, the captain of the Canadiens made a major statement concerning his mindset for the upcoming season.

"We're tired of losing and finishing last. We need to start winning again."

He notably added that he was very pleased with the statements made by Kent Hughes and Geoff Molson who recently indicated that expectations would be much higher next season and that the team would strive to make a place in the playoffs.

It remains to be seen whether the Canadiens will be able to qualify for the spring dance, but one thing is for sure, Nick Suzuki believes that the CH has all the necessary elements to get there.


"We saw, at the start of last season, the team we could be. Injuries changed everything, but I consistently keep high expectations. With the players we have, our style of play and our coaching staff, we can certainly make a push for the playoffs." - Nick Suzuki

The 23-year-old forward also mentioned that Kaiden Guhle and he will be present at the draft in Nashville on June 28th. The Canadiens' captain did not hide his excitement about Will Smith, Matvei Michkov, and Leo Carlsson, who are among the prospects he is most interested in.
