It seems one of the big names on the market right now is definitely Martin Necas, as he has been linked to several teams, including the Canadiens.
Eligible for an offer sheet, which would be a disadvantageous outcome for the Hurricanes, the team clearly has an advantage in trading him before July 1st, and according to Pierre LeBrun, it's likely to happen before or during Friday's draft.
Indeed, the insider mentions that the Hurricanes have an offer on the table, which includes a first-round pick this year.
He places the Sabres and the Devils at the top of the list, as both have put their 11th and 10th overall picks on display to attract Necas.

Clearly, there's a lot of speculation swirling around this situation, and I would be surprised if Necas is still a member of the Hurricanes by Saturday.
For the Canadiens, the option of Martin Necas seems to be off the table. We can't be certain until the trade is announced, but it appears Kent Hughes is pursuing a different plan.
