A ranking of NHL prospects is causing a stir among Habs fans
The renowned journalist from The Athletic, Scott Wheeler, has just published his annual ranking of the top 50 NHL prospects under the age of 23 who aren't regulars in the League.
It is worth noting that the Montreal Canadiens have made a good impression, with David Reinbacher, the 5th overall pick in the recent draft, ranking 20th on Wheeler's list. The electrifying Lane Hutson is ranked 27th.
Outside the top 50, we find the names of Owen Beck, Sean Farrell, Filip Mesar, and Joshua Roy in the honorable mentions.
However, what has sparked a strong reaction among Canadiens fans is the name that occupies the 2nd spot in the ranking, Matvei Michkov. Let's just say it rubs salt in the wound for those who still haven't gotten over the fact that the Canadiens' management overlooked this Russian phenomenon.
