Disturbing scene: Former Canadiens player Artturi Lehkonen is in the hospital, and it seems very serious
Artturi Lehkonen has truly found his niche with the Colorado Avalanche, becoming an integral part of their offense. While his defensive qualities were well-known in Montreal, he has significantly elevated his offensive contribution since the trade.
Nevertheless, he will always be remembered for his overtime goal against the Golden Knights on June 24, 2021. This goal propelled the Canadiens to the Stanley Cup Finals.
There was a very concerning scene on Thursday night when the Finn took a nasty fall and went headfirst into the boards. His neck and spine took the impact, which is never a good sign.
He managed to get back up, but it seemed painful. Let's hope for the best for him, that he has avoided the worst.
