Important announcement regarding Riley Kidney
The Canadiens' prospect has had an absolutely exceptional season with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan and the Gatineau Olympiques this year. In fact, Riley Kidney collected 28 goals and 82 assists (110 points) in just 60 games, which allowed him to finish the regular season tied with Zachary Bolduc for the 4th spot among the top scorers in the entire QMJHL.
The forward was particularly rewarded for his wonderful season as he was named to the CHL's Third All-Star Team alongside Zach Benson (Winnipeg Ice), Alexandre Doucet (Halifax Mooseheads), Kevin Korchinski (Seattle Thunderbirds), Stanislav Svozil (Regina Pats), and Nathan Darveau (Victoriaville Tigres).
The 20-year-old forward has shown impressive progression in his last two seasons in junior hockey, amassing 210 points in 126 games. His electrifying performances compelled Kent Hughes to offer him an entry-level contract in the NHL, which he signed with the Canadiens on May 4, 2022.
One thing is certain, it will be very interesting to see how Riley Kidney performs next season as he will undoubtedly make the leap to the AHL with the Laval Rocket!
