During Tuesday night's game against the Lightning, Jake Allen and the entire team didn't show up in the first period. However, Martin St-Louis's men seemed fired up, playing against an opponent that had fought a tough battle in Toronto the night before.
After the fourth goal, Allen was replaced by Samuel Montembeault, and it worked. The Habs got back into the game but ultimately lost 5-3.
The four goals can't all be attributed solely to Jake Allen; the entire team needed to play better in front of him. However, changing the goaltender is a way to try to spark a turnaround, and clearly, Allen is aware of that.
