As you may know, Joshua Roy has been called up by the Canadiens and was set to play in Saturday night's game.

This remains the case as he will be paired with Sean Monahan and Joel Armia, forming the Canadiens' second line. It's a golden opportunity for him to make an impact in his first career game.

On Friday night, after the Rocket's game, where he played very well, Roy was summoned to a meeting in Jean-François Houle's office. At first, the forward wondered what the coach wanted from him.

Joshua Roy was a bit concerned when Jean-François Houle called him to a meeting.

"I didn't really know why. I was wondering, 'Did I do something wrong?'" he said, with a smirk, at the end of the morning practice.

If his call-up was a surprise for us, imagine how it felt for him! He was really excited, and so was his family, with around thirty members present at the Bell Centre.

However, they will only be able to see one number 97, and that's Connor McDavid. Joshua Roy decided to go with the number 89. He made the change and is happy with his decision.

"The equipment manager came to me this morning. He asked me if I really wanted 97. I thought about it and said to myself: I'll go with 89!" - Via Guillaume Lefrançois

He is, therefore, succeeding the former defenseman of the team, Nikita Nesterov.
