Major: Carey Price has found an excellent way to help the Montreal Canadiens
Professional athletes are proud individuals, and Carey Price is no exception. I can assure you that he would prefer to be on the ice with his teammates rather than at home.
The ultimate goal of any player is to help the team win. Price did everything in 2021, carrying the team on his shoulders one last time to the Stanley Cup Final, but the Lightning was too strong.
In a recent interview with Dave Strubbs on the NHL's official website, Carey admitted that he would do anything to help the team. Here's his response when Strubbs asked if he would consider waiving his no-trade clause:
"Absolutely, I want to help in any way, he said. I'm still part of this team, so if I can help in any way, I'm here."
Carey Price's heart belongs to the Montreal Canadiens. We can see how emotional and involved he is when it comes to Montreal. During his playing career, he was more reserved, focused, and calm.
The fact is, he has accepted his fate now, and even if he were to be traded, he would remain a Hab for life. Recall that he also agreed to waive his clause for the Seattle Kraken expansion draft, with the goal of helping the team, knowing very well that a return to play was uncertain at that time.
This says a lot about the man and his commitment to the Montreal Canadiens. We truly hope that he accepts a role with the team after his retirement is officially announced.
