Even the former scout for the Montreal Canadiens, Grant McCagg, raised something very interesting by mentioning this recently:
In my opinion, although the latter was extremely productive in the American League last year, scoring 84 points in 69 games, plus nine points in five playoff games, I don't think the Canadiens would benefit from moving Primeau to Tampa Bay.
Kent Hughes would acquire another forward, while spots are already very limited in the current lineup. At the very least, Barré-Boulet would need to be inserted into the top-9 to give him a real chance in Montreal, which seems impossible right now. I can't see Martin St-Louis placing him on this line, while Rafaël Harvey-Pinard is currently placed on the fourth unit.
