However, on Thursday, it was Alexandre Texier who stole the show in a 6-2 victory against the Panthers. The Canadiens' locker room was buzzing after he recorded his first NHL hat trick, coming on the heels of a three-point performance Wednesday.
Oliver Kapanen added a goal and two assists, while Juraj Slafkovsky filled the scoresheet with a goal and an assist. Sam Montembeault stopped 25 shots, and Sam Bennett scored twice for Florida.
Texier now has 7 goals and 7 assists for 14 points in 22 games with the Canadiens.
On the other side, Lundell has 13 goals and 18 assists for 31 points this season in 43 games. At 24 years old, the Panthers center also has 73 goals and 115 assists for 188 career points.
In the end, a maximum fine sends a message, but it is not a suspension.
