The Montreal Canadiens are announcing several important changes ahead of their game against the Vegas Golden Knights.

These decisions are generating a lot of reactions, especially because they affect both the defense and the offense.
Indeed, Arber Xhekaj and Alex Texier are entering the lineup, while Adam Engstrom and Jared Davidson are coming out of the lineup for this game. Some players may feel a bit of a wake-up call after this decision.
These choices show that the Canadiens are looking for a bit more stability tonight without revealing too much of their intentions.
It was Renaud Lavoie who reported the news:
"Arber Xhekaj, Alex Texier IN, Adam Engstrom, Jared Davidson OUT vs Golden Knights." - Renaud Lavoie
In my opinion, the coaches seem to be testing a lineup that is a little more physical and a little more defensively responsible. Even if these choices appear simple at first glance, we all know they change the tone of the team and of a game.
Newly signed forward Alex Texier will be making his debut.

Key changes for the Canadiens' game

In my view, the work of Engstrom and Davidson is not being questioned, but management simply seems to want to rely on experience and physical style for this specific matchup.
I believe this kind of rotation can help the Canadiens manage pressure better.
Also, no need to spell it out: the return of Xhekaj could bring a useful dose of energy.
It will be interesting to see how the group responds on the ice. Reactions won't take long, especially if the Canadiens start the game with some pace.
