Florian Xhekaj's Fate Would Already Be Decided If It Were Up to an Analyst

Last night, the Montreal Canadiens played a memorable preseason game for several reasons against the Philadelphia Flyers, but one story in particular stood out.
According to BPMSports analyst Marc-Olivier Beaudoin, young Florian Xhekaj clearly deserves his spot on the Canadiens' roster.
For him, a tryout with, for example, Zach Bolduc and Alex Newhook would make sense, and he added:
"If the organization builds its lineup for Game #1 based on merit, Florian Xhekaj will be there.
Personally, I'd give him a try with Zach Bolduc and Alex Newhook.
It costs nothing to try. If it doesn't work, then Laval and that's it!"

This comment added to an already emotion-filled evening for the Xhekaj family. In his first preseason game with the Habs, Florian not only scored a goal but also dropped the gloves against Nicolas Deslauriers, a veteran known for his strength.
A gesture that reminded many of the fire that Arber, his older brother, has shown for several years.

Even Arber Xhekaj admitted he had a moment of anxiety watching his brother face Deslauriers.
"I was scared for a moment, but I have to realize he's an adult now. He's my size, he's not a little boy anymore."
At 21 years old, Florian proved that he could fight, hold his own, and even contribute offensively.
The evening became even more touching when the cameras caught their mother, Simona, in tears in the stands. She saw her two sons play a game for the first time in the Canadiens' uniform.
Coach Martin St-Louis summed up the scene aptly:
"This isn't something that happens often. As a parent, I can imagine what it's like to see your two sons play together in Montreal. It's incredible, a special moment."
I must admit that I also loved watching those beautiful moments last night!
