We knew he was good in junior leagues, having outperformed the competition with 60 points in 30 games, but he had to prove himself against men.
The start was slower than expected, but after a four-point game, he was at 6 points in 6 games and seems to be hitting his stride. Ivan Demidov does everything right on the ice, and a few sequences demonstrate why he will be an elite player in the NHL.
First and foremost, he has exceptional vision and hockey intelligence. His hand-eye coordination is fantastic, he has a good shot, he plays physically, and he's a true leader.
I find it hard to believe that the Canadiens have such a dominant player in their ranks. And to think, he's only 18 years old!

It's incredible to watch him play. He's competing against men for the first time and is completely unfazed. He shows a lot of maturity, along with an exemplary attitude and elite player qualities.
In my opinion, this player will be the next 100-point scorer for the Canadiens. Just imagine him alongside Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, Juraj Slafkovsky, Patrik Laine, Kirby Dach, and company, who are better players than those he is currently playing with!
