Jacob Fowler owned his difficult night at the Bell Centre on Tuesday evening.
The Philadelphia Flyers left Montreal with a 4-1 victory.
Alexandre Texier scored the Canadiens' only goal at 19:00 of the first period. Travis Konecny finished the night with a goal and an assist. The game turned on the infamous third goal, which stemmed from a Fowler mistake on a play behind the net.
In the end, Fowler stopped 17 of 20 shots. Dan Vladar made 21 saves, and the final goal was scored into an empty net, assisted by former Canadien Christian Dvorak.
