Indeed, Guhle is extremely quick on his skates and can keep up with almost anyone on the ice, even while skating backward. Give him the challenge of handling Connor McDavid or Sidney Crosby, and he'll take it on gladly.
Though he's not infallible, there's a reason why he signed a lucrative six-year contract with the Canadiens and is playing on the top defensive pair at such a young age.
As for Lane Hutson, the young defenseman is absolutely mind-blowing. In a one-on-one drill, he completely undressed Guhle, to the point where number 21 playfully went after him.
Guhle admitted that he had no chance of taking the puck from Hutson. For those who doubt his readiness for the season opener, rest assured-he's ready.
