Today's waiver list brought several surprises, but one name stands out in particular: Brendan Brisson.

A grand total of 22 players were placed on waivers today, but we have a few names that stand out the most.
The young center for the New York Rangers, son of the renowned agent Pat Brisson, has surprisingly made the list.
He immediately becomes one of the most intriguing players to be in this situation since the start of the season.
Claiming the young Brisson would be a smart move, giving a team like Montreal a way to win over Sidney Crosby's agent.

In addition to Brisson, the list also includes former Montreal Canadiens forward Anthony Richard, who played a few games in the Canadiens' uniform before continuing his career elsewhere.
Here is the full list:
Gavin Bayreuther - Hurricanes
Noel Gunler - Hurricanes
Tyson Jost - Hurricanes
Josiah Slavin - Hurricanes
Ryan Suzuki - Hurricanes
Clark Bishop - Flames
Dryden Hunt - Flames
Yan Kuznetsov - Flames
Sam Morton - Flames
Matt Tomkins - Oilers
Matthew Highmore - Islanders
Marcus Hogberg - Islanders
Brendan Brisson - Rangers
Connor Mackey - Rangers
Anthony Richard - Flyers
Shane Bowers - Sharks
Jimmy Huntington - Sharks
Samuel Laberge - Sharks
Oskar Olausson - Sharks
Jakub Skarek - Sharks
Tyrel Bauer - Jets
Isaak Phillips - Blackhawks
Another detail likely to catch attention in Montreal: Ryan Suzuki, the younger brother of Nick Suzuki, captain of the Canadiens, is also on the list.
This mix of names makes today's waiver list particularly interesting for Canadiens fans.
Brisson is a 6-foot, 198-pound center, a first-round pick of the Vegas Golden Knights in 2020, and has been productive pretty much everywhere.
Do you think Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens should claim the young center Brendan Brisson?
Details to follow.
