Lane Hutson announces a big signing for Kent Hughes and the CH
We were eagerly awaiting this signing for Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens, and it was finally announced by young Lane Hutson, among others.
Indeed, his Boston University teammate, Luke Tuch, has officially signed his first professional contract with the Canadiens.
We've been discussing since Thursday whether Hughes would decide to sign him, and we learned yesterday that the offer was already on the table for the player.
The issue seemed to revolve around the start date of his contract; theoretically, he could burn the first year of his contract this season, but the offer begins in the 2024-25 season.
Tuch has finally accepted, which is great news, as players like him, who have good size while also being very fast, are rare.
We will soon see whether he joins the Canadiens or the Rocket in the coming days. One thing is certain: he is not expected to start next season in Montreal, but rather in Laval.
