During preparations for the game against the Ottawa Senators, a rare scene unfolded in Brossard as Martin St-Louis stopped practice to speak directly to Kirby Dach.
It's not often that we see Martin St-Louis raise his voice, but he was visibly frustrated with the young player.
Usually calm and composed, I like that the Canadiens' coach doesn't hesitate to send a message when he feels the intensity isn't there.
And that's exactly what happened during Friday morning's practice.
Martin St-Louis stops everything to refocus Kirby Dach during Montreal Canadiens practice
As reported by DansLesCoulisses, Martin St-Louis interrupted the session after a sequence that didn't please him.
"Martin St-Louis is dissatisfied and stops the training to talk to Kirby Dach.
He did the same thing yesterday, but with
Jayden Struble."

As mentioned, the day before it was young defenseman Jayden Struble who received the same treatment.
This time, it was Kirby Dach who felt the coach's frustration.
As seen in the video, St-Louis stopped the entire group, approached his forward, and spoke to him firmly in front of everyone.
And honestly, that's the kind of scene fans like to see. Even if in the moment it's never fun to be in that position like Dach was, it helps raise the compete level for the whole practice.
I think it shows how St-Louis refuses to lower the standard, even when the team is performing well.
