The Montreal Canadiens will play tonight against the Carolina Hurricanes, and head coach Martin St-Louis has made his decision regarding the lineup.

We know that over the past few days, Samuel Montembeault spent a few games with the Laval Rocket. He received several starts, and we all knew he would return with the Canadiens.
Coach Martin St-Louis trusted him in the last game against Florida, and it can be said that Monty did the job for the Canadiens. He helped secure the victory and showed that he can play the way he has shown us since his arrival with the Canadiens.
That said, Martin St-Louis has made his decision regarding the lineup for tonight's game.

Jakub Dobes will be in goal for the Montreal Canadiens

"Following practice, Martin St-Louis confirmed that Jakub Dobes will get the start in net against the Canes. Jayden Struble will enter in place of Adam Engstrom on defense."

- Montreal Canadiens
The opening faceoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., on the road, in a game that carries significant weight in the standings. Montreal comes in with a record of 21-12-6, and a strong 11-3-5 record on the road.
On the other side, Carolina sits at 24-12-3 and plays well at home with a 13-6-1 record.
Dobes, 24 years old, has already played 20 games this season and holds a record of 12-5-3. His current numbers show a 2.90 goals-against average and a .894 save percentage, and he is looking for a big night on a loud rink.

Jayden Struble takes the place of Adam Engstrom

The change on defense is clear: Struble replaces Engstrom for this Thursday game. Struble, 24 years old, has 5 assists in 30 games, with a -7 rating and nearly 14:59 of ice time per game. His two-year contract carries a cap hit of $1,412,500.
Engstrom, 22 years old, has played 10 games, without a point, with a +1 rating and approximately 12:35 of usage.
In the Atlantic Division standings, Montreal is third with 48 points, while Carolina leads its division with 51.
And yes, Jake Evans, Kaiden Guhle, and Kirby Dach are still listed as injured.
