Kaiden Guhle and the Montreal Canadiens may have received some encouraging news this morning in Brossard - but it's too early to jump to conclusions.
Very good news this morning!
But let's not get carried away too quickly. I think it was simply a good sign to see.
Kaiden Guhle Takes an Important Step Toward His Return with the Montreal Canadiens in Brossard
This morning, the scene was different.
According to what was shown by Patrick Guillet, Guhle was on the Brossard ice in full gear.
He spent about forty minutes doing conditioning drills.
"Kaiden Guhle was on the ice for about 40 minutes.
He did several conditioning drills.
He looked comfortable on his skates, even though he wasn't going all out."

You could also see that he wasn't yet pushing at full speed, but he looked comfortable on his skates.
The expected recovery time was about four to six weeks.
We're now roughly in the middle of that window.
"Prior to practice, defenseman Kaiden Guhle hit the ice on his own in a track suit for the first time since being sidelined with a lower-body injury. He last played on October 16 against the Nashville Predators."

It's not an immediate return, but it's an important step.
I truly believe Guhle is one of the young defensive pillars of the Canadiens, and his absence has been felt in how the team defends the area in front of the net.
His mobility, hockey sense, and composure are hard to replace.
In my opinion, his return will do the team a lot of good.
