Indeed, the recent injury to goaltender Quentin Miller forced the organization to invite another netminder to fill his spot, and he is one of the two players to watch.
Matteo Drobac, a former teammate of the Xhekaj brothers and Owen Protz, has been brought in to support Quentin Miller at the Canadiens' rookie camp.
He is an intriguing goaltender with solid junior statistics and went undrafted in the NHL. He could very well make his mark in the American Hockey League someday.
The other player to watch is forward Israel Mianscum, a former teammate of Joshua Roy. Also undrafted, he amassed 87 points in 61 games last year with the Sherbrooke Phoenix.
He has the profile of a player who develops later than others and deserves a chance. Moreover, he has a very interesting build at 6'2" and 202 lbs.
Could we see another case like Arber Xhekaj, where an undrafted player ends up with a contract after the camp? It's quite possible.
