Trade between Habs and Sens for two young players: major statement

The Canadiens and the Senators are in similar positions, with two young teams ready to take the next step.
On this topic,
Carey Price's former coach, Stéphane Waite, floated the idea of trading Slafkovsky for Brady.
We're talking about two very solid wingers who are poised to have great NHL careers. Slafkovsky recorded 35 points in his last 39 games of the season and is only 20 years old.
Tkachuk tallied 43 points in his last 43 games but is 24 years old. These are two young players with the potential to score 80 points or more per season.
According to Waite, this trade would be declined.
Stéphane Waite would not be ready to part with Juraj Slafkovsky to acquire Brady Tkachuk.
This proposal would be "a red flag" from Ottawa:
"I believe Slafkovsky will become a better overall player."

I completely agree with Waite. The Canadiens have a real gem in Slafkovsky, and he continues to prove it with Slovakia at the World Championship.
Let's not forget that the Canadiens' forward has played just over 100 games in the NHL, and we can already see his enormous potential, which keeps growing.
