Kent Hughes has had a very busy summer and is still involved in all the matters, according to several analysts and industry insiders.

He signed four of his players, including two important deals with Juraj Slafkovsky and Kaiden Guhle, and then traded Jordan Harris for Patrik Laine and a second-round pick.

Additionally, the draft was colorful, with selections such as Ivan Demidov and Michael Hage, among others.

Possible trade between the Canadiens and the Oilers soon?

The GM's work might not be over yet, as the Oilers need a defenseman, and the Canadiens have just what they need.

According to Frank Seravalli, a major trade will happen within two weeks in Edmonton to add a defenseman. The connection with the Canadiens is therefore easy to make.

It's certain that the Oilers have lost the services of Cody Ceci and Philip Broberg in recent weeks, so Stan Bowman absolutely needs to find another defenseman.
