Brad Marchand is still being a pest and his victim is Nate Schmidt
Brad Marchand is known for being a bit of a pest in the NHL and his reputation is well established, even though he fully owns it.
We can complain about a few questionable hits he's made during his career, but we can't take away from him the fact that he's also capable of taking some.
During the playoffs last spring, the Bruins lost in the 2nd round against the Panthers and Marchand was the player who was the victim of a questionable hit. He then admitted in front of the cameras that it's part of the game and that players intentionally try to injure themselves in the playoffs.
This statement had made the rounds of the NHL and the hockey world in general. He's the first player to dare say something like that in front of the cameras.
The defenseman went to Pasta, and that was all it took for Brad Marchand to freak out and jump on him.
He immediately threw his gloves and wrapped his head around him to throw him to the ground. Personally, I hate Brad Marchand as an opponent, but I have to admit that I would probably like him if he played for the Canadiens.
He acted like a captain and didn't hesitate for a second to go defend his teammate, the best player on the team, before something happened.
I think some Canadiens players should take an example from him. Marchand is far from being the tallest or the biggest, and he defended his teammate.
He has to do that and get penalties because the players on the ice at the time of the accident do nothing. I have no problem with Brad Marchand acting like that, I even love it, as long as it's not against the CH!
