Over the past few hours, the St. Louis Blues have learned some very bad news.

As reported by Habsolumentfan.com, the organsation announced that center Robert Thomas will be sidelined for an indeterminate period.
According to the Blues' X account, the latter suffers from a broken ankle and he will be out of the game for a minimum of six weeks.
Note that Thomas will be re-evaluated in six weeks but let's say that this loss will be major for the Blues because the team is off to a good start to the season with a record of four wins against three losses.
But above all, Robert Thomas had acted as the team's first center since the start of the season.
First round pick of the Blues in 2017, the right-handed center player, whom some experts compare to Nick Suzuki, had accumulated 6 points in seven games since the start of the season.
The Blues will face the Maple Leafs this evening in Toronto and they will be the Canadiens' next opponents on Saturday evening at the Bell Centre.
It is without the services of Robert Thomas that the Blues will come to Montreal and this could perhaps give Martin St-Louis' men a better chance of stopping their streak of four consecutive losses.
Aged 25, Thomas has collected 321 points in 403 games played with the Blues.
