Nils Aman is available to all NHL teams.
He had managed to earn a spot on a Vancouver Canucks line, but his situation has just changed today.
In four games this season, Aman has two assists.
Last season, he showed promising signs by playing 43 games in the NHL, recording seven points, and adding 15 points in 15 games in the American Hockey League.
While he can produce in the American league, his role in the NHL remains limited, often used on the fourth line, where he excels as an energy player. So, could he be THE character player Hughes dreams are made of?
In his first season in North America, in 2022-23, he played 68 games for a total of 16 points.
Aman's salary of $825,000 and his status as a restricted free agent at the end of the season could attract another team looking to strengthen its depth.
Aman has excellent potential as a playmaker.
It remains to be seen whether a club will be interested in this 24-year-old center, whose versatility could be an asset for several teams in the Bettman circuit.
