The Anaheim Ducks make an announcement regarding Trevor Zegras, who is currently in all the rumors

Since this summer, trade rumors surrounding Trevor Zegras have been plentiful. The Ducks and he couldn't agree on the terms of his new contract, leading the young star to miss almost the entire training camp, resulting in a challenging start to the season.

These rumors intensified further as the Californian organization acquired Cutter Gauthier on Monday. Zegras now seems less indispensable.

A change of scenery could benefit him, but it won't come cheap. Pat Verbeek will demand a high price to trade him, and he has the luxury of being patient as there are two years left on the number 11's contract.

That being said, it would be surprising if it happened in the next few hours. Zegras got injured on Tuesday night and left the game visibly in pain.



This isn't the official team announcement we were expecting about Zegras, 24 hours after the Jamie Drysdale trade. Let's wait to see the extent of his injury and hope he has the same luck as Josh Anderson, even though it looked just as painful.
