In the world of minor hockey, there is a major tournament that attracts a lot of attention from scouts, and that is the Brick Invitational Tournament, which is made up of the best 9 and 10 year old players in North America.
Much like the Quebec International Pee-Wee tournament, in its history, this event has seen a large number of NHL players participate, including the very recent first overall pick, Connor Bedard.
In fact, it was a team from Quebec that won this edition, as the Montreal Canadiens got their hands on this year's trophy.
Among the skaters of this team, there was a young native of Mirabel, named Liam Tep, who outright broke the tournament's previous points record. He compiled an incredible record of 15 goals and 14 assists, for a total of 29 points in just eight games.
The former record was jointly held by a certain Cole Caufield of the Montreal Canadiens, as well as the potential future first overall pick of the 2025 class, Michael Misa. These two players had accumulated a total of 18 points, which is 11 points less than what young Tep just produced.
