All fans have their eyes glued to the draft lottery taking place tonight, starting at 8 p.m. An analyst at TSN made a very interesting statement concerning the future first draft pick, and it is likely to greatly please the Canadiens' supporters.
On the TSN airwaves, former NHL player Frank Corrado mentioned that Montreal would be the best place for Connor Bedard :
"Frank Corrado says the best place for Connor Bedard is in Montreal because he can play for a coach like Marty St. Louis, who has had a huge impact on the development of Caufield and Suzuki. The core group, the nucleus of the Canadiens, is also around the same age as Bedard." - Via NHL Watcher
We completely agree with Corrado's remarks!
Martin St. Louis has mentioned several times that he wants to give his forwards a lot of freedom in the offensive zone, making it an ideal scenario for a player as talented as Connor Bedard. In addition, the team's core is still very young, meaning most players will reach their full potential at the same time.
