Although Tyler Toffoli just had the best season of his career with 34 goals and 39 assists, he could be one of the players sacrificed by the organization this summer. It wouldn't be surprising if the former Canadiens forward generates a lot of interest from other NHL teams.
According to James Wilson of the NHL Trade Rumors website, the Montreal Canadiens, New York Rangers, and Carolina Hurricanes could all be interested in the services of the 31-year-old forward:
Toffoli has only one season left on his $4.5 million contract, and there's no doubt that he could be a significant addition to the Canadiens' top six. In 89 games with the Habs, the forward accumulated 37 goals and 33 assists.
Furthermore, Toffoli has mentioned multiple times in the past that he loved his experience in Montreal, as he fell in love with the city and the fans.
