The head coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets, Pascal Vincent, has made a bold decision to shake up his team, benching star player Patrik Laine.

Indeed, in the ongoing game, Laine is conspicuously absent as he has been left out of the lineup.

He is healthy, but Pascal Vincent seems dissatisfied with his performance, as Laine has only garnered three points this season.

The coach is sending a very clear message to the entire team that your status does not guarantee a spot in the lineup. Despite earning nearly 9 million dollars per season, Laine is paying the price for his lack of effort.
