Juraj Slafkovsky as the Canadiens' best forward: the young Slovak is working hard towards this and making tangible efforts

Juraj Slafkovsky's progress this year has been remarkable. Even though he has only accumulated four more points than last season with the same number of games played, he is much more dominant, utilizing his weight and strengths.

What he lacks is the ability to shoot more quickly and effectively, especially under pressure. He is aware of this and is working hard to improve this aspect of his game.

"Over 35 min after practice and only one player remains. Juraj Slafkovsky, getting some individual work done." - Eric Engels

Indeed, Slafkovsky was with the new shooting coach, Glen Tucker, also known as Dr. Shot. Tucker has worked with players like David Pastrnak and several NHL stars, and the results are evident today.

I'm not trying to suggest that Slafkovsky will be as prolific a scorer as Pastrnak, but if he can score 20 goals or more per season, that would already be very good. He's only 19 years old.
