Juraj Slafkovsky has just accomplished something incredible in anticipation of the next season
In anticipation of the upcoming season, the first overall pick in the 2022 draft, Juraj Slafkovsky, is putting in extra effort to be at his best.

"Juraj has great strength. He approaches everything with maximum effort, which is difficult to sustain consistently. But hockey is an activity that demands repeated efforts. It's all about the muscle's ability to contract and relax. We want Slafkovsky to be able to do everything 20 times, 30 times on the ice, but not at the expense of quality."
Thanks to a special training regimen that is backed by science, since the start of the summer season, Slafkovsky has already increased his lung capacity, which represents a very significant leap for a high-level athlete.
"We managed to increase his vital lung capacity by 20%, which is a very significant figure."
As his coach points out, the open-mindedness of the #20 from CH towards a new avenue of specialized training proves that the young man is ready to do whatever it takes to work on himself. He takes his development to heart and this is a very important quality in hopes of him becoming the best player possible.
We can't wait to see his progress next year in his second season in the professional league.
For the fans who have already given up on him, know that he is a raw diamond to be polished. He is a long-term project that may take a few years to dominate. However, when he does, due to his exceptional physical abilities, he will be unstoppable.
