In Tuesday night's game between the Canadiens and the Wild, the home team simply never got into the game at the Bell Centre. Not only was the loss emotionally painful, but it also came at a high cost.

Kaiden Guhle got injured during the match and didn't return to play afterwards. From what we hear, it could be a long-term injury.

Elliotte Friedman added to the concerns by suggesting that Guhle might be out for a significant period. He even proposes that the Canadiens recall Mattias Norlinder.

"Brutal stretch of injuries for the Canadiens, losing Kirby Dach for the season and Kaiden Guhle for aa kittle while. Curious to see if this gives Mattias Norlinder, now at AHL Laval, an opportunity. One thing is very clear: Montreal feels much better about Norlinder than they did a year ago. Much, much improved pre-season performance."

- Elliotte Friedman

It's really unfortunate that the same story seems to be repeating itself this year. More important injuries to key players. But what's even more unfortunate is that we're getting more news from external sources than from the team itself.

Eric Engels and Tony Marinaro confirmed Kirby Dach's season-long absence 24 hours before the team did, and now it's Elliotte Friedman with the news about Guhle. There is clearly room for improvement in this regard.
