Over the last few minutes, Kent Hughes and the Laval Rocket have agreed on the terms of a one-season contract with the outstanding Miguel Tourigny.
We are talking about an AHL contract that Hughes granted under his role as general manager of the Rocket.
Tourigny arrives in Laval at the perfect time, just in time for the start of the American Hockey League playoffs.
Originally from Victoriaville and 21 years old, Tourigny was a seventh-round pick by the Canadiens in 2022.
He collected 26 points in 43 games this season in Slovakia, in a professional league! A very solid season for him!
"The Rocket announced they have agreed to the terms of a one-season contract (2023-24 - AHL, one-way) with defenseman Miguël Tourigny."

It's surprising timing, but we love it!
High-quality reinforcement, if necessary, for the Montreal Canadiens' farm team.
