Last-Minute Signing in the Canadiens Organization: A Notable Defenseman Joins the Lions
Another signing has just occurred in the Montreal Canadiens organization as the 22-year-old Swedish defenseman Eric Hjorth agreed on the terms of a one-season contract with the Trois-Rivières Lions.
"Eric Hjorth will start his very first season with the Trois-Rivières Lions on October 20th!
This giant-sized 6'3", 192 lb defenseman will certainly contribute to the team's offense in addition to being quick as lightning!" - Trois-Rivières Lions
The Columbus Blue Jackets' fourth-round pick in 2019 scored 3 goals and had 6 assists (9 points) in 43 games with Vita Hasten HC in the Swedish elite league last season.
Standing at 6 feet 3 inches, Hjorth will undoubtedly be a significant addition to the Trois-Rivières defense in 2023-2024. He could potentially be an interesting insurance policy for the Laval Rocket in case of injuries.
