Last-minute Signing Alert of a Former First-Round Pick and Two Other Players
There's movement in the NHL today, especially with the Pittsburgh Penguins, as three signings have just been announced.
Defenseman Mark Pysyk, drafted in the first round in 2010, defenseman Libor Hajek, a second-round pick in 2016, and forward Austin Wagner have all signed professional tryout contracts with the Pennsylvania organization.
Given that these are all players with several NHL games of experience, they could turn out to be excellent acquisitions by GM Kyle Dubas if one or more of them earn a spot following the team's training camp.
