Very interesting news about Michael Pezzetta surfaced today, as the excellent Marc-Olivier Cook from DansLesCoulisses reported exclusive images of the Canadiens' forward training with one of the best fighters in league history, Georges Laraque.
In light of the very limited lineup spots due to an excess of forwards, if Pezzetta can develop this aspect of his game to adequately support Arber Xhekaj, he could become a very interesting asset for Martin St-Louis.
Moreover, with the arrival of Ryan Reaves, Tyler Bertuzzi, Milan Lucic, and Bokondji Imama in the Atlantic Division, things are likely to get shaken up next season, which adds interest to having a Pezzetta at the top of his game to compete well with rival teams.
Even though he doesn't officially have a role with the Canadiens for this purpose, Marc-Olivier Cook reveals that after contacting Laraque directly, he laughed but declined to comment on the training he had with the Canadiens player.
