In the last few minutes, we've learned that the former Canadiens goalie, José Théodore, will no longer be a sports columnist for the Journal de Montréal. Interestingly, this announcement comes just a few days after Michel Bergeron made the same decision.

This is sad news for fans of the Montreal Canadiens as José Théodore was not shy about giving his personal opinion and saying what was really going on with the organization. For now, the former Vézina Trophy recipient has not updated on his future in the media world.

"My last column

Dear readers, I am announcing that after nine years and nearly 400 columns, this one is my last. I thank Denis Poissant who gave me the opportunity to be part of the great team of the Journal and all those who have contributed to this page, including my ghostwriter, Gilles Moffet. I have always appreciated your comments. Thank you for your support. I will miss you. Bye!"

Is this a personal choice or did the Journal de Montréal make cuts within its team of writers? One thing is certain, the timing is rather suspicious as Michel Bergeron made a similar announcement last week.
