After making a splash the day before the draft by acquiring young forward Alex Newhook from the Colorado Avalanche, the Canadiens caused a shockwave by selecting Austrian defenseman David Reinbacher with their 5th overall pick.
A few days have passed since the selection, and now it's time to believe in the evaluation work done on Reinbacher by the Canadiens. He has a very promising future and will likely be an important piece of the team's success in the years to come.
In fact, the 18-year-old defenseman visited the Canadiens' facilities last Friday, just before the start of the organization's development camp yesterday.
