David Savard is a defenseman who may not make much noise but impresses with every presence. The leader of the Canadiens in terms of blocked shots, he is a true warrior who always does everything to help his team.
For several obvious reasons, number 58 could be highly sought after at the trade deadline, and his return could be just as interesting as the one received for Ben Chiarot.
At least, that's what Marco D'Amico thinks. According to him, Savard could make a return to Columbus because the team is off to a good start with a lot of talent. Adding a veteran of his caliber would be beneficial, especially with Adam Boqvist available.
According to D'Amico, one doesn't necessarily have to go with the other. In other words, the Jackets could trade Boqvist to another team and acquire Savard from Montreal, or they could trade Boqvist to Montreal without acquiring Savard.
