After yesterday's Bell Centre game, an unexpected moment caught the Canadiens' attention as many witnesses saw a frightening incident involving a security employee.

It was a strange evening from start to finish. And no one expected to see such a scene while simply leaving the arena.
Indeed, according to several people on site, a Bell Centre security employee got stuck in the garage door that leads directly to the players' parking lot. His coat got caught in the door mechanism and, as it opened, the door lifted him into the air.
We're talking several feet high. I must admit that I myself saw photos of the scene and it was really intense to look at. Out of respect for the employee, I will not share those images. But after a quick look online, it's clear many people have already posted them.
Some people initially thought it was a prank. But the situation quickly became concerning.

The Montreal Canadiens players shocked by the accident

Here is Anthony Martineau's description:
"It was a strange evening right to the end at the Bell Centre, as a brave security employee got stuck in the garage door leading directly to the team's players' parking lot.

The poor man saw his coat get caught in the door which, as it opened, lifted him several feet into the air.

Several Habs players witnessed the scene.

After about twenty minutes, the older man was rescued when his coat was cut and he was caught right on the roof of a truck. He lost consciousness a few times during the sequence of events.

The security staff at the Bell Centre are good people who work in outdoor conditions that aren't always pleasant.

Congratulations to everyone who helped this gentleman, who is now doing well, according to the latest updates."

- Anthony Martineau
As he mentions, the most important thing is that the employee is doing well according to the latest updates.
In my opinion, this moment is a reminder that even at the Bell Centre, the heroes aren't always on the ice. And I sincerely think this employee had quite a story to tell when he got home.
No need to remind you, but the Canadiens had another awful night, losing 8-4 to the Capitals. They've allowed 23 goals in their last four home games.
Jake Evans was forced to leave the game early after a controversial elbow by Tom Wilson. More details to follow.
