Arber Xhekaj's contract with the Canadiens: Mom Xhekaj sets the web on fire

It's a very favorable deal for the Canadiens and could also turn out to be beneficial for the player if he continues to progress well.

Indeed, Xhekaj could theoretically have signed a longer-term deal with a higher salary, but he opted for a shorter, lower-paying contract, betting on his performance over the next two years for the future of his career.

Shortly after announcing his signing, Xhekaj held a Zoom press conference, where he discussed his desire to succeed with the team and reassured that he is doing well and there's no need to worry about the upcoming season.

What we didn't know was that Arber was at his family home with his parents during the press conference. His mom commented on the Canadiens' post, and it's quite funny:

As for Xhekaj, he can now focus on his future with the Canadiens without having to worry about his contract, at least for the next two years.
