It's now official: captain Nick Suzuki has married his partner, Caitlin Fitzgerald, in the past few hours. Veteran Brendan Gallagher was in attendance for the big event and was accompanied by his wife, Emma Fortin. She wore a very special outfit for the occasion and was absolutely stunning!
Just days before his wedding, Nick Suzuki spent several hours on the ice at the Brossard sports complex to prepare for the upcoming season.
The captain is well aware that after surprising everyone by making the playoffs last spring, expectations will now be much higher for the Montreal Canadiens.
It was quite impressive to see number 14 training on the ice alongside many of his teammates. Among the group were Cole Caufield, Ivan Demidov, Patrik Laine, Samuel Montembeault, Arber Xhekaj, Alex Newhook, Alexandre Carrier, Florian Xhekaj, and Juraj Slafkovsky. Even Tyler Toffoli, a former Canadiens forward, joined them on the ice.
Ivan Demidov was particularly spectacular, showcasing several dazzling plays. The young Russian is currently the heavy favorite among experts to win the Calder Trophy - awarded to the NHL's rookie of the year - which was claimed by his teammate Lane Hutson in 2024-25.
