Team Canada Calls Up Two Promising Canadiens Prospects for World Juniors
Earlier today, we learned that Montreal Canadiens prospects L.J. Mooney and Aatos Koivu have received invitations to represent their countries at the World Championship - and two more Canadiens prospects will have the chance to compete for a spot with Team Canada.
The Montreal Canadiens are one of the teams with the most quality prospects.
Fans will have the opportunity to follow several young players at the upcoming World Junior Championship.
One player who will be interesting to watch is the talented L.J. Mooney, who will have a chance to play for the United States.
He surprised many journalists at the Canadiens' recent development camp.
The news was confirmed just minutes ago.
"Habs prospects Michael Hage & Owen Protz are among the players invited to Team Canada's World Juniors Summer Showcase"
"Now confirmed - Habs C Michael Hage and D Owen Protz will both be present for Canada."
- Dan Kramer
Michael Hage is expected to be a member of Team Canada's roster, and we're very excited to see him in action.
As for Protz, the defenseman was selected by the Canadiens in the 4th round of the 2024 Draft.
He'll have to earn his spot on a very strong lineup.
Finally, we hope Team Canada can win the tournament and showcase the talent of the country's young players.
