Thursday, the Canadiens host the Blackhawks at the Bell Centre.

On Tuesday, Montreal fell 4-1 to the Flyers at the Bell Centre. Travis Konecny led Philadelphia with a goal and an assist.
Dan Vladar stopped 21 shots for the Flyers. The Canadiens have now lost four of their last six games. Martin St-Louis wants to see a quick response in front of the hometown crowd.
The final home stretch in Montreal for 2025 ends Saturday against Pittsburgh.
On October 11 in Chicago, the Canadiens beat the Blackhawks 3-2. Kaiden Guhle scored with 15 seconds left to close the book. Nick Suzuki picked up three assists in that win.
The team has now announced a post-practice press conference, and we are awaiting confirmation of the starting goaltender and possible lineup changes.

The Chicago Blackhawks arrive without Connor Bedard

"The Canadiens will host the Blackhawks at the Bell Centre Tonight.

The Canadiens are scheduled for a morning skate at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.

St-Louis' press conference and player media availabilities will be around 11:00 a.m."

Chicago arrives without Connor Bedard, who suffered an upper-body injury. The Blackhawks announced he will miss the rest of December, and more will be known in January. Before going down, Bedard led his team with 44 points in 31 games.
He had 19 goals and 25 assists at the time of the injury. On Tuesday, Chicago lost 3-2 to Toronto, their third straight defeat. After Montreal, the Blackhawks will wrap up their trip in Ottawa.
For Montreal, Alexandre Texier has drawn attention since joining the Canadiens. On Tuesday, he scored the Canadiens' lone goal against Philadelphia. He has 6 points, including 3 goals, in 11 games wearing the Canadiens sweater. Previously, he had only one point in eight games with the St. Louis Blues.
The other threat is Tyler Bertuzzi, a major piece for the Blackhawks. In 30 games, he has 16 goals and 10 assists for 26 points.
His four-year, $22-million contract gives him an average salary of $5.5 million. With Bedard out, Bertuzzi becomes even more visible on the scoresheet. If the Bell Centre gets loud early, the tone of the night can change quickly.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7 PM tonight.
