Arber Xhekaj is building a reputation as a tough guy in the NHL but a kind-hearted person off the ice, and he's proven it once again.
The defenseman is extremely generous, not only with his money but also with his time. For example, he recently gave his father his dream car alongside his brother, and he is involved in many causes.
Recently, young journalist Nicolas Cloutier from TVA Sports shared an anecdote about an exclusive interview with Arber Xhekaj that didn't go as planned. The defenseman showed a lot of class.
What we need to know is that many players wouldn't have given that extra time to a journalist because they are very busy. I'm not saying Arber is less busy than others, but he chose to give his time to Nicolas Cloutier, which is commendable.
It's also worth noting that Nicolas Cloutier is a young journalist gaining a lot of popularity and doing a great job earning respect from both players and fans.
We see that Arber Xhekaj is a true gentleman, who also loves Montreal and everything related to it. The more we get to know him, the more we understand how highly he is regarded by Kent Hughes and the fans.
