It's now official for Juraj Slafkovsky and it's huge for the Canadiens
Since December, the hockey world has turned its attention to Juraj Slafkovsky and noticed how quickly he is progressing.
It's not just Canadiens fans, but the entire NHL and now the world who can appreciate the spectacle.
Indeed, Slaf was the best player for his country at the World Championship. A true leader has emerged, which bodes very well for the future of his career.
His talent is matched only by his leadership, and he is also proving that. For journalist Eric Engels, there is absolutely no doubt. Slafkovsky will have a letter on his jersey one day.
"I absolutely believe it!
But Slafkovsky doesn't need that official designation to be considered a leader. I think he's already shown that he's a natural leader both in Montreal and in international competition for Slovakia and the qualities that make him so will only become more prominent as he grows."
- Eric Engels
What Engels says is so true! Both off the ice and on the rink, he has acted as the leader of his team and has taken the team on his shoulders.
The best part is that it seems natural for him. In addition to being very pleasant and charismatic, he speaks on behalf of his teammates and takes responsibility for the team's results.
He truly has all the qualities of a good leader. The Canadiens made a very wise choice in selecting him first overall in 2022!
